Thomas More Center for Catholic Thought and Culture Conversations Series presents "Is This Justice? Stories from Death Row"

Catholic Mobilizing Network鈥檚 speaking tour of Missouri is coming to 91快活林! 

a panel discussion on abolishing the death penalty as an expression of Catholic teaching on the sanctity of all life and the dignity of every person. The discussion will feature Laurence Komp, the Kansas City-based defense attorney who served as part of the legal team for Marcellus Williams, who was executed in Missouri Sept. 24; the Rev. Lauren Bennett, who served as the spiritual advisor for Amber McLaughlin, who was executed by the state of Missouri in January 2023; and Joe Amrine, a Kansas City man who spent 16 years on Death Row before being exonerated. Bill Kriege, director of service and action, will moderate the discussion.
